What we help with

People come to individual therapy for all kinds of reasons. These are the areas we work with most, each handled by a clinician matched to it.

How we work

We don't believe in one method for every person. Our clinicians draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and match them to you, including CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, somatic work, mindfulness-based therapy, Internal Family Systems, and psychodynamic therapy.

Who we work with

Good therapy meets you where you are. We work with adults and teens across every walk of life, including men, women, professionals and executives, college students and young adults, the LGBTQ+ community, new parents, first responders and healthcare workers, and athletes.

The Bodhi difference

What sets us apart is coordination. Most people piece care together across a therapist here and a prescriber there, none of them talking. Here, your therapy works in step with psychiatry, psychological testing, and addiction care under one clinical team, so your care moves with you rather than starting over at every referral. When a focus calls for it, we bring in specialized trauma work, EMDR, or therapy for psychosis without ever handing you to a stranger.

What to expect

Care begins with a free 15-minute consultation, so you can get a feel for us before committing to anything. From there, we match you thoughtfully and begin at a pace that feels right. Therapy is a relationship, and we build it to last: the same clinician, adapting with you as your life shifts.

Questions

Frequently asked

What happens in individual therapy?

You meet one-on-one with a clinician in a confidential setting to explore what is bringing you in, understand it more clearly, and develop practical ways to move forward.

How do I know which type of therapy is right for me?

You do not have to know in advance. We assess fit during your consultation and match you to a clinician and approach suited to your goals, and adjust as we learn what works for you.

Do you offer therapy online?

Yes, in person at our South Bay office and virtually for clients across California, with the same standard of care.

How long does therapy take?

It depends on your goals. Some people come for a focused season of work; others value an ongoing relationship. We will talk openly about what makes sense for you.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Therapy is confidential, within the limits the law requires, such as concerns about immediate safety. Your clinician will explain these clearly.
